Day 1 USA - Qingdao

Today we board an international flight bound for Qingdao, China. Cross the International Date Line.

Day 2 Qingdao

Arrive in Qingdao. Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the luxury hotel for rest and relaxation.

Day 3 Qingdao - Mt. Laoshan - Qingdao

After breakfast, we drive to Mt. Laoshan. Known as the "Top Spectacular Mountain on the Sea", Mt. Laoshan is renowned of the visits of Qinshihuang and Emperor Wudi of the Han. Taiqing Palace, Longtan Falls, and Frog Rock are all Taoist temples in Laoshan. We head to Qingdao for overnight accommodation.

Day 4 Qingdao

In the east of Shandong, Qingdao is a fine harbour on the Yellow Sea. Numberous European style villas and churches have turned this city into a veritable world architecture museum. Among the scenic attractions in the city, our sightseeing tour today will feature Badaguan and Zhanqiao Bridge. The highlight of today's tour must be a visit to the Museum of Qingdao Beer, which was built in celebration of the 100-year anniversary of the brand. You will have a chance to sample the world renowned beer. For dinner tonight we enjoy the fine seafood local cuisine.

Day 5 Qingdao - Weihai - Yantai

After breakfast, we travel to Weihai. Weihai was known as Weihaiwei before. There is Liugong Island known as "fence in the east", has been opened as a state forest park. During the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, the commander's headquarters of the Chinese Beiyang Navy was built on the island. Next stop for the day is the famed port city Yantai.

Day 6 Yantai - Penglai - Jinan

About 50 miles off the shore of Yantai is Penglai, a fairyland-like resort on the northernmost tip of Shandong Peninsula. The mystique of Penglai is mostly ascribed to the mirages that occur beyond the sea, and the Penglai Pavilion proves an ideal place for watching the sea and enjoying the sunrise. Drive to Jinan, the capital of Sahngdong province.

Day 7 Jinan - Taishan

After breakfast, tour Gushing from the ground spring (Baotuquan), Thousand Buddha mountain, and Daming Lake. Take a motor coach to Taian. In ancient times, all the Chinese people, from the emperors and princes, generals and ministers to common people, came to offer sacrifices and pay homage to Mt. Tai. Take a cable car up to the top of the mountain for a sightseeing tour of the area, including tour Daimiao Temple, Azure Clouds Temple and the Jade Emperor Summit. Daimiao Temple which is a complex of magnificent ancient architecture on the imperial road leading to the place where the emperor offered sacrifices to heaven. Enjoy the bean curd banquet dinner.

Day 8 Taian - Qufu - Kaifeng

Drive to Qufu, the hometown of Confucius. You will visit The Temple of Confucius, the Mansion of Confucius and the Cemetery of Confucius. Enjoy the Confucius Mansion Cuisine lunch. We take the high speed train to Kaifeng.

Day 9 Kaifeng - Zhengzhou

Kaifeng, which was the capital of ancient China. You will tour Dragon Pavilion built in the Song Dynasty, Park of the River Scene, built according to the very famous Chinese painting, Temple of Minister Bao in memory of the famous and popular official in the history of ancient China, the Iron Pagoda built in the Song Dynasty and the Imperial Street of Song Dynasty. Enjoy the steamed bun banquet for your lunch. Drive to Zhengzhou. Have a local flavor dinner.

Day 10 Zhengzhou - Songshan - Luoyang

After breakfast, we drive to Shaolin Temple located at Dengfeng County. You will tour Shaolin Temple built 1000 years ago, the Pagoda Forest which was the resting place of the Shaolin monks and Zhongyue Temple first built in Qin Dynasty. You will enjoy the performance of kungfu. Drive to Luoyang with a history of 5000 years.

Day 11 Luoyang

We will tour the Longmen Caves. In 494 AD the Northern Wei Dynasty moved its capital from Datong to Luoyang. At Datong the dynasty had built. The impressive Yungang Caves and now at Luoyang they began work on the Longmen Caves. Over the next 200 or so years, more than 100,000 images and statues of Buddha and his disciples were carved into the cliff Walls on the bands of the Yi River, 1 km south of city. Visit the Huangcheng Park (royal town). Built on the ruins of the imperial palace. Visit the peony garden. Visit General Guan's Mausoleum, the burial of general Guan Yu from Three Kingdoms Period. Visit the Folk Craft Museum. We continue on to the White Horse Temple, the first temple constructed after Buddhism was introduced to China. Enjoy the local cuisine "water banquet".

Day 12 Luoyang - Zhengzhou

After breakfast, return to Zhengzhou. We take an excursion to Yellow River Zone. Yellow River is the second-longest river in China, called the “Mother River” and “cradle of Chinese civilization”.

Day 13 Zhengzhou - USA

After breakfast, you are transferred to airport for your return flight back to your home. You will be in the United States the same day. End of tour.
