* Land Tour Fare are per person in U.S. dollars based on two adults sharing one twin bedded room, double occupancy and does not include any air ticket. A customer who travels alone is required to pay a single room supplement. Children under 12 (2-11 years of age) share room with adult and not asking for extra bed, the rate is 90% of the adult price. If asking for extra bed, the price is the same as adult. Children 12 and older will be charged at the adult fare.

Itinerary

Day 1 USA - Shanghai

Board an international flight bound for China. Cross the International Date Line.

Day 2 Shanghai

Arrive in Shanghai, the largest commercial and financial center of China. Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the luxury hotel for rest and relaxation.

Day 3 Shanghai - Putuoshan

After breakfast, we travel to Putuoshan. Putuoshan is one of the four most well-known Buddhist mountains of China. Putuoshan is located in the Zhoushan Islands of Zhejiang Province. Legend has it that Guanyin, also known as Goddess of Mercy, once showed her bodily presence here and left a number famous historical sites. People have given the beautiful names to the island: Buddhist Paradise on the Sea, Land of Peach Blossoms and Mount of Immortals on the Sea. You will visit Fayu Temple built in the Ming Dynasty, Huiji Temple.

Day 4 Putuoshan - Ningbo

After breakfast we journey to Puji Temple built in the Northern Song Dynasty and Unwilling to Leave Nunnery and etc. In the afternoon, we will go to Ningbo, one of the industrial cities of Zhejiang Province and a city well-known for a long history of culture.

Day 5 Ningbo

After breakfast, visit Ashoka Temple. Later, visit Tianyige (the First Hall Under Heaven). It has survived from more than 400 years with its history, unique architecture design and particular valuable collections of ancient books and texts of past dynasties. You also will tour Seven Pagoda Temple, Moon Lake scenic area and Tianyi Square. Visit Xuedou Mountain], here is the dojo to worship Maitreya Bodhisattva.

Day 6 Ningbo - Hangzhou

After breakfast, we travel to Hangzhou. Hangzhou is praised along with Suzhou as "paradise on earth". Upon arrival, we enjoy a cruise on the beautiful West Lake followed by visits to two of the ten most beautiful sites around West Lake, “Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond” and “Winery Yard and Lotus Pool”. Later, visit the centuries old Lingyin Temple. Lingyin Temple was built in 326 A.D. at the foot of Lingyin Mountain, this temple features a main hall extending 33.5 meters in height, a statue of Sakyamuni carved out of 24 pieces of camphor wood and a laughing Buddha covered in gold. This famous temple compound combines Taoism, Zen, Buddhism, and the ancient religions of China, Lingyin Temple is one of the oldest and most significant ancient Buddhist temple of China. At last, will go to Dragon Well Tea Plantation to have a taste of the famous green tea-Dragon Well.

Day 7 Hangzhou -Mt. Jiuhua

Take the high speed train to Mt. Jiuhua. After arriving at the station, the tour guide will pick you up , then go to Mountain Jiuhua after lunch. You take the scenic bus to your hotel. Visit the Longevity Palace (including the round-trip cable car) ,the hundred-year-old palace, formerly known as the star-picking nunnery, was visited by flawless monks from Hebei province in the early 16th century after traveling to Mount Wutai and Mount Emei, he spent more than 20 years copying the Avatamsaka Sutra with his tongue blood and gold dust, and wrote 81 volumes of the Blood Sutra. Now read this sutra, the font is clear and correct, the country evaluation as “National Treasure”; Visit the 500 Arhat Temple, view the natural Buddha. Visit Qiyuan Temple in Jiuhua old street. the largest one of the four Zen forests in Mount Jiuhua. Originally built in the mid-16th century during the Jiajing period of the Ming dynasty, it was originally a sacred place of Indian Buddhism. Legend has it that Gautama Buddha preached Buddhism here for more than 20 years, hence the name Qiyuan Temple.

Day 8 Mt. Jiuhua

Visit Huacheng Temple, a monastery in the mountains of Jiuhua, where Silla monk Kim Gyo-gak lived during the Tang dynasty. In the 10th year of Zhenyuan, Kim Gyo-gak passed away at the age of 99, the monks saw him as the incarnation of the earth-Tibet Bodhisattva, his body was placed in the Lingtou Stone Pagoda, Huacheng temple is the ancestral temple in this mountain, also the oldest one. There is an old clock here, which is 3meters high, weigh 1000kilogramms. When the monks strike it in morning , the bell resounded in the valley, making people extraordinary refined. The Huacheng bell is one of the ten scenes in Jiuhua Mountain. Visit the Temple of Bodhisattva, King of earth-Tibet. Kim Gyo-gak used it to read scripture for Minamidai in his later years. Three years after his death, he was still as good as new. It was a sign of Bodhisattva's coming into the world. They built a three-story stone pagoda here to bury his body, that is, the body tower, also known as the burial ground. . In 1983, the State Council designated the Temple of the flesh as the National Key Buddhist Temples in Han Chinese Area. Visit Shang Chan Tang ,the temple was built in the Ming dynasty. It was rebuilt in 1667 。The temple is the Han Buddhist architectural style, its seat north-facing south, only the gate opened in the east wall. There is a Guanyin Pavilion in the backyard with a Guanyin image and the spring, named Jinsha Spring. There is a money tree by the spring as one of Mount Jiuhua's three treasures. Visit the Chandanlin, The arches and window frames of the temple are engraved with stories of Xuanzang and Buddhist scriptures. The temple of Maitreya is on the upper floor and the rear hall is the temple of Wei Tuo. after lunch you take the ropeway( up&down ) to Tiantai Scenic Spot, visiting Ancient Worship Terrace and Tiantai Temple. The highest peak –ShiWang Peak(1344M above sea level).You Can't miss the chance to stand on the Ksitigarbha and feel close to the bodhisattva. Legend has it that Peng Long hovered over the temple listening to Ksitigarbha's sermon. After paying tribute to Buddha, enjoy the beautiful scenery of Mount Jiuhua. Continue to [ a line of Sky ] .

Day 9 Mt. Jiuhua - Shanghai

You take the scenic bus down the Jiuhua Mountain to visit the Cultural Park of Grand Vow at the foot of Jiuhua MT (icluding the Hall of Grand Vow.and the battery cart),visiting the Buddhist Dojo's landmark project -- a 99-meter-high open-air statue of the Tibetan king Bodhisattva -- to create the world's top five: the world's highest open-air statue of the Tibetan king -- the world's largest white jade lotus flower -- the world's largest outdoor glazed wall -- the world's largest pool of Buddha's light -- and the world's largest tree species. Then you will go to JiuHua Railway Station and take the high speed train back to Shanghai.

Day 10 Shanghai - USA

After breakfast, you are transferred to airport for your return flight back to your home. You will be in the United States the same day. End of tour.
