* Land Tour Fare are per person in U.S. dollars based on two adults sharing one twin bedded room, double occupancy and does not include any air ticket. A customer who travels alone is required to pay a single room supplement. Children under 12 (2-11 years of age) share room with adult and not asking for extra bed, the rate is 90% of the adult price. If asking for extra bed, the price is the same as adult. Children 12 and older will be charged at the adult fare. |
Itinerary
Day 1 USA - Beijing
Board an international flight bound for China. Cross the International Date Line.
Day 2 Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the luxury hotel for rest and relaxation.
Day 3 Beijing - Hohhot
Take the high speed train to Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Upon arrival we start our city tour of Hohhot with a visit to the General's Official Residence of Suiyuan. Then we check in to the hotel.

Day 4 Hohhot - Xilamuren Grassland
After breakfast we journey to the Grassland of Xilamuren by coach, begin our day by touring the vast grassland and pastures. In Mongolian, “Xilamuren” means “Golden River”. Taste the unique local food for lunch. Later watch the locals in horse riding, wrestling and archery. In the evening after a Mongolian lamb dinner, we enjoy a graceful performance of Mongolian songs and dances. At night we stay in mushroom-like yurts.

Day 5 Grassland - Hohhot
Rise up early to take the wonderful view of sunrise on the grassland. Then journey by coach back to Hohhot, our city tour takes us visit to Dazhao Lamasery, one of the biggest and best-preserved temples in Hohhot. Later, we have an opportunity to visit the famous Five Pagoda Temple. To end the tour we visit the Residence of Princess in Qing Dynasty. Tonight, a special banquet of one of Mongolian culinary treasures called “Youmian” (oat noodles) is served for our dinner.

Day 6 Hohhot - Yinken Resonant Sand Gorge - Ordos
After breakfast, we visit the Inner Mongolia Museum. The Inner Mongolia Museum is a regional museum in the city of Hohhot. This museum was founded on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the establishment of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, in 1957. The Museum has many objects relating to ethnic history in its collections. Among these quite a few are rare treasures seldom seen in China, especially the artifacts relating to the northern tribes called Xiongnu, Xianbei, Qidan, Mongolians and others. Then we journey by coach to Yinken Resonant Sand Gorge (includes entrance fee and round trip cable car fee, not include personal expenses such as camel rides and dune slidings). On the way, we look at the Mother River of China, the Yellow River. For lunch, have the famous local cuisine, carp fish from Yellow River. Located in Kubuqi Gobi, Yinken Resonant Sand Gorge earns same fame as Mingshashan in Dunhuang and Shapotou in Zhongwei, in China. Here we experience a natural phenomenon. Sliding down from the sandhill, one can hear the sounds like automobile and aircraft engines, a phenomenon nobody can explain. Then we journey by bus to Ordos. The city orientation tour takes us to visit Meidaizhao, built in 1575 and served as both a residential area and a monastery.

Day 7 Ordos - Yinchuan
Continue our tour to Tomb of Genghis Khan, the great leader of the Mongol Tribe. The coffins containing the remains of the Khan and his wife are enshrined in bedroom palace behind the memorial hall in the center of three interconnected hall in the design of Mongolian yurts. Later, we take bus to Yinchuan, the capital of Ningxia.

Day 8 Yinchuan
After breakfast, our tour starts with a visit to Western Xia Tombs, the largest and the best protected imperial cemeteries in China. Continue to Western Xia Museum to learn more of its history and culture. Later we proceed to see the cliff carvings in Helan Mountain.

Day 9 Yinchuan - Zhongwei
This morning first we will visit the Wolfberry Park, then the bus takes us to Zhongwei where we visit the 108 Buddhist Pagodas. They range in height from 3.5 to 2.5 meters, fashioned in three shapes (pyramid, ground and vase) and arranged on a rising mountain slope in rows of increasing odd numbers to form a colossal triangle.

Day 10 Zhongwei - Lanzhou
After breakfast, we will visit Gaomiao Temple. Today's highlight is a cruise along the Yellow River by sheepskin raft. Later, we take bus to Lanzhou, the capital of Gansu. Tonight taste the local specialties.

Day 11 Lanzhou - Xiahe
Lanzhou is the capital city of Gansu Province, the "City of Fruit", a city that has a 2000-year history and it is the capital of Gansu Province. Enjoy full day boat excursion to Liu Jia Xia Dam and Binglingsi Grottoes. After that, we drive to Xiahe County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.

Day 12 Xiahe - Lanzhou
After breakfast, visit Labrang Monastery. Labrang Monastery is one of the six great monasteries of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. Labrang is located in Xiahe County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu, in the traditional Tibetan area of Amdo. Labrang Monastery is home to the largest number of monks outside of the Tibet Autonomous Region. Return to Lanzhou in the afternoon. Visit to White Pagoda Mountain, for the view of the Yellow River.

Day 13 Lanzhou - US
After breakfast, you are transferred to airport for your return flight back to your home. You will be in the United States the same day. End of tour.
