Tonight, board an international flight bound for China. Cross the International Date Line.

Due to time difference, we are en route today.

Day 3 Arrival Wuhan

Arrive in Wuhan. Our guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the luxury hotel for rest and relaxation.

Day 4 Wuhan - Yichang - Three Gorges Cruise

After breakfast, tour Yellow Crane Tower, which has an interesting story behind its inception and a visit to provincial museum, listen to the music played by chime. We drive to Yichang. On the way to Yichang, we will visit Jingzhou old town. Afterwards, we are transferred to the docks at Maoping to board our five-star Victoria Cruise vessel and begin our exciting Yangtze River adventure. Our hearts fill with excitement and anticipation as the ship departs in the night to sail up this mighty and mysterious river.

Day 5 Three Gorges Cruise

Victoria Cruises is the only American cruise line currently sailing China's Yangtze River. The Long River has been shaping China's geography and culture for thousands of years. It evokes a sense of timelessness. Enjoy the river's primordial wonders in the civilized comforts and amenities on board. Today we visit the Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric dam under construction. Dubbed the "Great Wall across the River", the dam's mandates are to control floods, improve navigation, and produce huge amounts of electricity. We sailing in the afternoon and the Xiling Gorge looms ahead. Xiling is the longest of the Three Gorges and its treacherous frothing currents demand skillful piloting.

Day 6 Three Gorges Cruise

The next Gorge we pass through is the Wu Gorge. Here, the long River turns and twists at very sharp angles while towering peaks, called the "12 Holy Peaks", look down. Try to catch a glimpse of the Goddess Peak for good luck. We reach Wushan and drop anchor. We arrive at Wushan to board small motorized sampans which afford us access to the Shennong Stream via the Daning River. We return to our ship in the afternoon and sail to the last remaining Gorge.

Day 7 Three Gorges Cruise

Today sail through the last remaining Gorge, the Qutang Gorge. Though the shortest of the Three Gorges, Qutang's soaring cliffs are the highest and its waters the most powerful. In the past, its churning whirlpools and swells and flying debris were feared as representations of the "river dragon". Today's travelers in modern ships safely and routinely ply these perilous rapids. Depending on the river conditions, our shore excursion takes us to either Fengdu or Shibaozhai (Please note: All shore excursions are at your own expense). The “Ghost City” Fengdu is known for its statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill. Shibaozhai’s attraction lays with its 12-story tall wooden pagoda, amazingly built 400 years ago without use of a single nail. After returning safely to our ship we again set sail.

Day 8 Three Gorges Cruise - Chongqing

This morning, our cruises ship's arrival in Chongqing marks the end of the memorable Three Gorges cruise. Chongqing, located in the Sichuan province, it is China’s largest municipality with a population of well over 30 million. Upon arrival, you are greeted and transferred to your hotel. Tour Ciqikou old town, located in Shapingba District of Chongqing by the Jialing River, was founded in the Song Dynasty, a Chongqing key protection traditional street. Ciqikou Ancient Town contains rich local culture, religious culture, revolutionary culture and folk culture, each with its own characteristics. A SLATE road, millennium magnetic gate, is the epitome and symbol of the ancient city of Chongqing, praised as "little Chongqing". Visit light-rail platform at Liziba station, which is located on the 6-7th floor of a Commercial and residential Building by the Jialing River, and has become an "Internet celebrity station"  because of its "air train passing through the building". Visit Chongqing highest helipad walk: located on the top floor of a downtown skyscraper with a breathtaking bird view of the whole Chongqing building forest. Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street is located in Yuzhong District, Chongqing, and has always been the most prosperous commercial center in Chongqing. There are a large number of department stores, hotels, restaurants, etc. here. It is a good place for shopping, food and walking in Chongqing. It is one of Chongqing's fashion landmarks. After dinner you enjoy the night view of Hongyadong Area.

Day 9 Chongqing - Dazu - Chongqing

After breakfast, drive to Dazu Rock Carving. Dazu rock carving: the main section is on the Baoding mountain and well-known for its ancient Buddhism Rock Carvings inscribed by UNESCO on the list as one of the World Cultural Heritage. It was first built in 892 and completed by the end of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). Drive back to city, Tour Shancheng Alley: twisting along the Chongqing downtown old city on a mountain, surrounded with many old celebrity villas and folk residence, just like a time tunnel away from the nearby modern society. Enjoy Famous Hot Pot for dinner.

Day 10 Chongqing - Chengdu

This morning, take the high-speed train to Chengdu. Chengdu is the capital of "Heavenly State" (Tian Fu Zhi Guo), habitat of giant pandas and city of cotton-rose hibiscus. Benefiting from Dujiangyan Irrigation Project which was constructed in 256 B.C., Sichuan Province is reputed as "Tian Fu Zhi Guo", literally a place richly endowed with natural resources. Chengdu, as the capital, is extremely productive. The Min and Tuo Rivers, two branches of the Yangtze River, connected to forty other rivers, supply an irrigation area of more than 700 square kilometres (270.27 square miles) with 150-180 million kilowatts of water. Consisting of abundant mineral resources, the land is extremely fertile. Visit the Panda Preserve Base. Chengdu Panda Base was founded in 1987, it started with 6 giant pandas that were rescued from the wild. It had about 150 panda births, and the captive panda population has grown to about 100 now. Later, visit to Jinli. Jinli Pedestrian Street is an antique-style street 350 meters long and less than 4 meters wide. It is a famous pedestrian commercial street in Chengdu. It has antique buildings and a rigorous and orderly layout. The bar entertainment area, Sichuan restaurant and snack area, mansion inn area, and special tourist handicraft exhibition area are scattered around. In 2005, it was selected as one of the “Top Ten Urban Commercial Pedestrian Streets in China”. Enjoy the local cuisine dinner - Sichuan hot pot.

Day 11 Chengdu - Leshan - Mt. Emei

After breakfast, proceed by bus to Leshan, the tour of Leshan includes a cruise on Min River, and a view of Leshan Grand Buddha, the largest stone-carved Buddha in the whole world, described as "A mountain emerges as a Buddha, and a Buddha- a mountain". Finish sightseeing at Leshan, before we drive to Mt. Emei, enjoy the local cuisine dinner - Tofu Banquet.

Day 12 Mt. Emei - Chengdu

A cable car ride takes us up to the Golden Summit. Sightseeing of Golden Summit at Mt. Emei. The Golden Summit rises over 3000 meters above sea level. There one may find an advantage point to appreciate sunrise, to view the sea of clouds, the Buddhist lamps and particularly the Buddhist flory which is most wonderful and captivating. Tonight we will enjoy Emei Vegetarian Dinner. Return to Chengdu.

Day 13 Chengdu - USA

After breakfast, you are transferred to airport for your return flight back to your home. You will be in the United States the same day. End of tour.
